Department of Information Application and Management (IAM) was founded in August 1998. Initially, a two-year junior college program was set up to offer day and night curriculums. A five-year junior college program, two-year college program and four-year college program were established soon afterwards. From August 2014, only the four-year college program is offered to meet our development goals.


Our goal is to train students to be Information System Professionals. Upon completion of the program, students will be equipped with the latest knowledge of information management and skills about E-business and M-commerce. Professional ethics and teamwork are also emphasized in the training.

Special Features

Programs in this department are emphasized but not limited to the following areas: information technology skills, the application and integration of information management for E-business and M-commerce.


Our department includes 11 full-time faculties. 6 of them own doctoral degrees and 5 of them have master’s degrees. Their research interests are in the areas of Information Management Systems, Computer Science, or Electronic Engineering. Some faculty members also contain working experiences in the industry for many years.


Alumni over the past 15 years have pursued a variety of careers in the fields such as hospital, industry, academia, marketing and finance. Most of them play important roles in the industrial infrastructure and enhance Taiwan's competitiveness in the global economy.


The facilities of the IAM department are upgraded continuously with the latest technology and knowledge. Current facilities include Student Project Lab, E-business Lab, M-commerce Lab, Social Network Analysis and Mining Lab, Digital Technology Lab, Information Security Lab, Multimedia Lab, I-Lab Lab, ITS On-line Teaching Tutoring Lab, IRS Digital Iterative and Learning Classroom, QR Code Mobile Coding System, Volunteer Office for Informatics Students, and several software development tools for APP, e-book, etc..

Career Prospects

MIS graduates can work in the following areas: departments of corporate information systems, computer software companies, and government information centers (must pass official exams). For pursuing higher education, they can apply the graduate school in Taiwan or overseas colleges.
